Dr. Todd G. Goldbeck, Xcel Physical Therapy Owner/Director

Todd G Goldbeck, DPT, ATC, CSCS, STC is the Owner/President of Xcel Physical Therapy and Xcel Sports Training, and also the Executive Director of Xcel Foundation, which is a non-profit branch of Xcel dedicated to philanthropic endeavors in the sports community. Todd also created and continues to organize the U.P. Football All-Star Game, which is an al-star football game for players in Upper Peninsula (U.P.) of Michigan. Proceeds from the game get donated back to the U.P. high schools and other U.P charitable organizations. Todd holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree (DPT) and a Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy (MSPT) from the University of Wisconsin - LaCrosse. While in attendance at UW-LaCrosse, Todd was a four-year letterwinner and earned Academic All-American honors as a cornerback on UWL's NCAA National Championship Football Team. Todd is a licensed athletic trainer (ATC), a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS), as well as a certified sports therapist (STC). Todd is also a classifier for the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA), a master level wrestling official for the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) and a certified skinfold examiner for the WIAA wrestling minimum weight program. Todd also created RefRanking, which is an online program for evaluating officials, and was used by the WIAA for every school, sport, AD, coach and official in the state of Wisconsin. Most recently, Todd has partnered with a group of tech developers to create www.Athletix.us, which is a scheduling tool for assignors and associations to more efficiently hire officials. It is also used by various sport and officials associations to manage their daily operations. Additionally, he has had his research published in the Journal of Sport Rehabilitation and has presented at many local and national sports medicine meetings, including the American Physical Therapy Association National Conference.

Todd is a native of Jefferson, and graduated from Jefferson High School. He was a two-way starter on the JHS State Championship Football Team. Todd was also a State Champion in Track & Field, All-State in Wrestling (2X) and Class Valedictorian. Todd has remained active in the Jefferson community, including serving as President on the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He is also one of the founding Board members of the Healthy Communities Cooperative, which was formed to provide cost-effective health insurance to small businesses. Xcel also works closely with many of the athletic teams in Jefferson and the surrounding communities, performing camps, clinics and providing athletic training event coverage.
